They have these tiny spines that prick my skin. I've developed a sensitivity to them. It lasts about a week. If I don't scratch, it fades, but not scratching is very difficult. Most of the petals are the thin ones and there are mostly 20 petals. I think it's interesting that they don't all look the same. Great photo's.
