We're still busy raking and trying to clean up the gardens, and the primroses are especially pretty right now. As more and more blossoms open every day, I can see I have some serious plant dividing to do. I have several very large primroses that I started from the seed I collected from my other primroses, and it is interesting to see the differences in shades of color. The seedling plants often are a combination of the colors of the plants growing near the parent plants, and I have noticed flowers with solid colors and flowers with different colored borders all on the same plant. This is why I enjoy starting my own plants from seed... I never quite know what the new plants will look like.
