Ice cream for breakfast? Actually, this smoothie is BETTER than ice cream because it is full of good-for-you ingredients and completely guilt-free!
We’re heading into another hot and sticky day here and another day of temperatures in the 90′s. It’s already too hot to even think of eating anything that isn’t COLD!
Today I made this smoothie with our usual organic yogurt (probiotics!!!)… strawberries we picked and froze last week, bananas, and orange juice… although other combinations of fruits, berries, and juices are good too.
1/2 cup orange juice
1 banana, cut in chunks and frozen
1/2 cup strawberries, frozen
1/2 cup yogurt
Blend all the ingredients into a smooth consistency. The frozen banana and especially the frozen strawberries make this smoothie very thick like ice cream. It was delicious!
Garnish with a strawberry and enjoy! (Makes two large portions.)
