I just ran across your site. I am really enjoying reading all the different things you have written about.
Here are some of the items I like, alot, microplane, tortilla keeper, mini food processor, thai stone mortar and pestle,I recieved an egg slicer from my father and mother ,as well as an an an apple slicer that I cherish .They are both gone on now. My mother bought me a set of large stainless steele bowls the Christmas before she died and I would be at a loss without them .They are great. There is a small wooden handled half moon shape turner I got fromm my grandmother. It is very old and I use it more than anything to toss veggies in cooking.I wish I could find it in stores to buy another one but have not been able to. Thanks for your site!

I have an unreasonable passion for kitchen tools, especially old ones. I'm always on the hunt for very old wooden spoons that are perfectly seasoned and have a deep bowl, cooking spoons with bakelite handles, and vintage jars to hold spices, grains, etc. I live in Mennonite country and there are several thrift stores run by this sect. The prices are great and so are the treasures I find for my kitchen. I have a wonderful old garlic press from Germany that belonged to my daughter-in-law's grandmother. The holes are large and it doesn't take a lot of strength to use. Although my food processor is new, I wouldn't want to live without it! My husband often wonders if I need a new cooking spoon, but when I'm cooking a big meal, I tend to use alot of them! Great website. I'm glad I found it.

I just found your site and it's truly appreciated. I'm trying to simplify my life a bit- but would be so sad without my oxo salad spinner, my garlic press, kitchen tongs, and my favorite little serated kitchen knife. I just read your post about the homemade ice cream and think that life would be a little sweeter with an ice cream maker, too. So much for simplicity :)

Very interesting post!! The kitchen gadget I want is one of those metal mesh strainers that fits your kitchen sink. It would be so handy for washing vegetables. No more spilled collanders!!

Marinade Injector Syringe - makes the best roasted chicken and tenderizes wild game (elk, venison).

Hamburger Patty Press

Grain Mill - hand operated, but will soon be motorized:) I love making bread and milling my own flour!!

Oh, baby! As I mentioned in my comment on the last post, this will be a long list!

All the items are Pampered Chef unless otherwise noted (*). I first had a party several years ago and ended up with a ton of free stuff, and since then have hosted many parties and become a demonstrator--mostly just to get the goodies on the cheap! So here goes!

Garlic press; Citrus press; berry corer (called core and more); micro-plane grater (awesome for zesting); meat tenderizer*; spoon rest; forged cutlery knives (these are amazing!); batter bowls; prep bowls; bamboo utensils; Measure, Mix & Pour (for dressing); food chopper (I have two because one is almost always dirty!); kitchen shears; apple wedger; cheese grater; silicone scrapers; stainless whisks (two sizes); scoops (three sizes); egg separator; salad and berry spinner; and all the various sizes of baking stones. I have other stuff, but those are the items I use all the time.

Now, aren't you glad you asked??? :-)
