“Our Personal Story” Category

Have you seen enough “end of the year lists” yet? And why do some posts consistently have more page views than others? I have never been able to predict which posts will have the most “reads”… but I find it interesting that with this blog, at least, the number of most-read posts always seems to fall fairly equally into several categories.

So this is part one of MY end of the year list… I’ll call it the five most popular posts in the “Our Personal Story” category.

If you’re a regular reader, I hope you will enjoy revisiting these posts. And if you’re new to this blog… these posts tell my story!

What a beautiful picture for such a cold winter’s day! A great way to start the new year. May we all find peace and beauty in the small things. Thank you.

I love that picture too. We’re snowed in here and I needed a reminder that this kind of cold doesn’t last. I really *really* enjoy this blog. Thank you for such an interesting read.

I just found your blog this morning and I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I have spent the entire day sitting at this computer and reading your posts. My family came in for dinner and everyone asked what I had been doing. I don’t usually spend much time on the internet but your site is a treasure. Thank-you for all of the hard work you have done here.

The flowers look like Black Eyed Susans but much larger than any I have seen in person. Are they perhaps something else that look like Black Eyed Susans? They are beautiful.

Comment by Shirley:

Ginny, there probably is a cultivated flower that looks like Black-Eyed Susans, but the flowers in this photograph started with wild Black-Eyed Susans. For several years now I have been saving the seeds from the largest flowers and replanting them and the Black-Eyed Susans I have now are much, much larger than the ones I started out with. It’s been an interesting experiment. I’m also doing the same thing with wild daisies.

I just wanted to tell you that I appreciate your common sense approach to Simplicity and Life in general. You have been a wonderful inspiration to me and I thank you for that.
