“Learn to enjoy every minute of your life.
Be happy now.
Don’t wait for something outside of yourself
to make you happy in the future.
Think how really precious is the time you have to spend,
whether it’s at work or with your family.
Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.”
–Earl Nightingale

Talk to me! :o)

Absolutely love the photo. I need to plant some of these. We had them at the old house back when we were first married and I had forgotten how beautiful they are. Your site brings back so many memories to me. You’re living the life I want to live.

I adore bloodroot flowers!

This is exactly what we had to learn the hard way after my wife had a massive stroke at the age of 39. She has lost the use of one arm and there are other life changing consequences that are drastically affecting our family life. We tried to be grateful for what survives but I regret so much all that we wasted – especially those times we could have better appreciated each other and our life. I look back and I wonder why I didn’t see what we were taking for granted. People, please don’t make the same mistake. Shirley, thank you for posting this quote and for everything you write. You are a quiet voice of reason in our emotional storm.

Darroch, thank YOU.
