Perfect quote for a time like right now. I think I’ll go outside and be in bloom now also. ;)
Comment by A Sunday In June:
I’m so glad my soul HAS been in bloom. And thank you for reminding me of that :) That is such a beautiful picture.
Comment by Jo:
Technology has driven us further and further from the contemplative life – a life filled with a sense of oneness with our Creator and a time to work on our spiritual needs. For just as we need food and water and shelter, we need that which brings us closer to inner peace.
I am alive in Nature, outside, feeling the sun on my face, smelling the air, seeing the clouds make their way across the sky, listening to the bird song. All of this, including seeing a Spring flower in bloom makes me grateful to be alive and humble to know my place in God’s paradise he has given us here on Earth.
My heart bursts with joy, I want to shout or sing or make a joyful noise in thanks for all I am given. I am fulfilled.
Thank you, Shirley, for that wonderful picture of the bleeding heart. I have been coaxing mine along, urging them to grow strong and bloom. It has been a long Winter, but now is their time. Now is our time.

All I need is bleeding hearts, and I am filled with emotion. What a beautiful picture. The quote only makes it so much more powerful.
