“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, the education, the money,
than circumstances, than failure,
than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
It will make or break a company… a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday
regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past…
we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.
We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have,
and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me
and 90% of how I react to it.
And so it is with you…
we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Talk to me! :o)

Great quote but I’m blown away by your hostas. They are beyond amazing. I’ve been looking through the site at the photos of your hosta gardens. I am so envious I can’t even begin to tell you. I’m just starting with hostas. To have something like your gardens is a distant dream. I’ve told my friends about your blog and how wonderful it is.

I’ve been going through some stuff that has really got me down. I wish I would have seen this quote before because it really tells it like it is. I’m trying to improve my attitude. Time will tell I guess.

I also am astounded by your beautiful hostas. I did not realize masses of hostas could be so striking. We are new to simplicity and building our own house. I never knew it could be so difficult. Not the actual building but the obstacles we have encountered along the way. I guess that’s where the attitude adjustment comes in. We desperately needed one and will try to remember this quote when the next obstacle gets in our face.

I’m a poem lover and have been having a ball going through your inspirational quote category. I love the quotes but I have been really really enjoying your photos as well. You call some of them gratuitous but those ones give such insight into your life. I love them and please continue to share them with us.

Wonderful blog, wonderful photos, wonderful posts. What more can I say? Love it. And thanks.

As somebody who has suffered from severe depression I am proof that attitude is everything. I still have black moments and I have learned that they will always be with me. But I am in much greater control and can see the good in the worst situations. And, yes, your hostas are stunning!
